Every streaming service solved its own catalogue and none of them solved the evening. You open one, scroll a wall of artwork, open another, and half an hour later you are watching something you have seen twice because deciding was harder than settling.

Cinefliq is a deliberately small answer to that. One card at a time, four directions, and a deck that gets sharper the more you tell it. It is not trying to be a social network, a review site, or somewhere you spend your evening. It is trying to give you the evening back.

What we believe

A decision beats a search. Shown one film you can say yes or no in a second. Shown four hundred you cannot say anything at all.

Say why. Every card gives the reason it is there, in plain words. A recommendation you cannot interrogate is a guess with confidence.

Watching is social, so deciding should be. The hardest version of this problem is two people on a sofa who want different things. That case shaped the app more than the solo one did.

Where the data comes from

Film and television metadata, artwork and ratings come from TMDB. Cinefliq is not endorsed or certified by TMDB, and the attribution at the foot of every page is a condition of using their API rather than a courtesy.
